Beyer may contest Masterton Mayoralty

It was reported in the Wairarapa Times Age that Georgina Beyer is considering running for the Masterton Mayoralty.

Beyer is now working for Michael Hill Jewellers, after leaving political office three years ago, but it was reported that she believes she can put her experience to help the Wairarapa region.

Georgina Beyer was Mayor of Carterton from 1993 to 2000 and a member of Parliament from 1999 to 2007 and is the first transsexual member of Parliament in the world.
