A new group in Marlborough is providing a support network for gay, transgender, intersex and questioning youth reported The Marlborough Express this week.
Qyouth meets once a week during school term time at the HQ youth centre. It is aimed at 12 to 19-year-olds.
Marlborough Police diversity liaison officer Kirstin Norton said the meetings provided access to good information and were held in a safe, supervised environment where people could relax and play pool or table tennis.
Qyouth is supervised by either the Police Diversity liaison officer, counsellors, youth workers or police-vetted adults. The group is looking for more adults to help co-ordinate and supervise events.
