Earlybird tickets for the biggest party of the 2nd AsiaPacific Outgames have gone on sale, and the first details have been released for this and two other big parties.
The Outgames Closing Party will be on Saturday 19 March. DJs are being flown in from Australia and Auckland to join Wellington talent. The party is in a three-level city venue with two dance floors – the first time the venue has held a big LGBT party. The party name and the DJs playing will be announced shortly.
Registered Outgames participants can now buy tickets for this party at the discounted earlybird rate of NZ$35, through the registration system on the Outgames website. Tickets will go on general sale at a later date.
A men’s party and a women’s party will be held on Friday 18 March. Earlybird tickets for these will be on sale soon.
For the men, URGE Black is presented by URGE Bar – the team behind Bearracuda Auckland and Tri-Nations. URGE Black will be New Zealand’s biggest gay men’s dance party. The first two DJs announced are Seymour Butz, from Australia, who comes fresh from working with the Scissor Sisters in LA, and DJ Mauri from
Auckland. More DJs will be announced shortly.
The Women’s Party at Meow will be the high point of the week for the Velvet Club – the premium Outgames entertainment programme just for women. We have an incredible night planned in this brilliant inner city venue – more details soon.
The 2nd AsiaPacific Outgames will be held 12–19 March in Wellington, New Zealand. It includes an Arts and Culture Festival, competitions in 16 sports, and a Human Rights Conference. Participants from 15 countries have already registered.
