More kissers needed, Wellington, New Zealand

The organisers of Gorgeous are calling on members of the queer community to volunteer their lips for a good cause. Over the Rainbow organiser Stevie Wildewood said the Wellington festival would have two kissing booths running, but they needed more volunteers to sit in them.

“We’re certain that there are a few lovely men and women out there that’d like to pucker up to help out this worthy cause.”

The event was designed to increase pride and support for the queer community following heated debate during the civil union discussions.

“Although it’s not a glamorous, we could also do with a few more people to help clean up afterwards.”

Gorgeous will run from midday through to early evening in Manners Mall, on Saturday 19 February.
